Yana Mudryk works in ARIO’s criminal law practice and is involved in the team’s significant and high-profile matters.
Her work focuses on white-collar crime, anti-corruption investigations and proceedings, business defence and cases where criminal proceedings have direct implications for the client’s reputation, governance and day-to-day operations.
Yana assists with the preparation of procedural documents, analysis of case materials and case law research.
She is also building expertise in anti-corruption, international humanitarian law and the protection of human rights in wartime. Yana has taken part in the JusticeLens 2024 Summer School on International Humanitarian Law, All-Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Moot Court competitions, the Anti-Corruption Quest, and an international exchange in Stockholm focused on combating gender-based violence.
Experience
Yana has been with ARIO since 2024. From February to June 2024, she interned with the firm’s criminal law practice. Since July 2024, she has worked in ARIO’s Criminal Defence Department.
Education
Yana holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Law from Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Law at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
Professional and Community Engagement
Yana is actively involved in the Ukrainian Bar Association Students’ League. In 2025-2026, she chaired the UBA Students’ League, overseeing the organisation’s strategic development, central team operations, and partnerships with law firms, public authorities and civil society organisations.
She previously served as Internal Development Manager of the UBA Students’ League, Coordinator for Northern Ukraine and Head of the Kyiv Branch of the UBA Students’ League.
In these roles, she coordinated educational, professional, social and charitable initiatives, including projects supporting the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
