Our birthdate: On November 16, 2015, Ario Law Firm specializing primarily in "Bankruptcy and Restructuring" was duly registered in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Since then, it has grown to become one of the foremost law companies in Ukraine.

Yevhen Hrushovets, Partner at Ario Law Firm joined our team, bringing with him the creation of one of Ukraine's top defense departments in criminal proceedings. Furthermore, we revolutionized the Ukrainian legal landscape by being the first to launch an official website under the domain LAW - www.ario.law. Now, it's almost a norm for websites of renowned law firms to end with "law."

This year, the Ario team has been handling several high-profile cases, including those involving mayors of Ukrainian cities and their deputies.

Additionally, our team achieved the release from extradition detention of a well-known Kazakh opposition journalist. She sought political asylum in our country due to persecution in her homeland. The case gained significant attention, with each court session drawing dozens of media representatives and members of parliament, ready to stand surety for the journalist.

Deal sold! At an auction within bankruptcy proceedings, the Ocean Shipyard found its new owner.

Leading one of the most high-profile bankruptcy cases in the history of independent Ukraine was our former partner, Irina Serbin. As the enterprise's liquidator, she faced persecution, provocations, procedural hurdles, and media interference from the plant's former owners—Russian nationals. Our team assisted Mykolaiv in reclaiming control of this strategically vital enterprise. Today, Irina Serbin serves in the Department of Sanctions Policy at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

A revolution in the realm of insolvency rehabilitation: the Code of Ukraine on Bankruptcy Procedures has been enacted, with Arіo Law Firm partners Julian Khorunzhiy and Ruslan Sydorovych among its architects.

For the first time in Ukraine's history, the new Code introduced the concept of individual insolvency recovery and implemented online auctions for the sale of bankrupt assets through the Prozorro.Sale system. It also endowed arbitration administrators with tangible authority for self-regulation.

COVID-19 Response: Our legal team was involved in overseeing agreements for a charitable foundation engaged with the President's Office anti-crisis headquarters.

These agreements focused on the procurement, importation, and distribution of personal protective equipment and medical supplies to healthcare institutions in 2020, during the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak. Additionally, we take pride in completing extensive renovations to our office, a significant milestone for us.

A year of remarkable growth. Ario has notably bolstered its standings in international and Ukrainian rankings.

Among our esteemed clients is former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. We're pleased to welcome Zoryana Skaletska, former Minister of Health in 2019-2020, to our partnership. Furthermore, Ario has launched a new practice area in healthcare law.

The Ario family has a new addition - in January we opened an office in Lviv.

However, this decision was in no way linked to the full-scale aggression from Russia. At the outset of the year, we had ambitious plans for business growth. When the invasion began, two of our lawyers joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Partner Yevhen Hrushovets volunteered and took part in the liberation of Zmiiniy Island.

A euro-integration bill on preventive debt restructuring has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada, with Senior Partner Julian Khorunzhiy as its developer.

The bill aims to align our legislation with European standards, and its adoption is a prerequisite for Ukraine to receive €18 billion. Ruslan Sydorovych has been elected as a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges, leading to his departure from Ario partnership. Partner Yevhen Hrushovets now leads the Public Anti-Corruption Council at the Ministry of Defense. Additionally, Anna Sydorovych has joined our team as a partner.
