Vladyslav Hryshchenko specialises in criminal law, criminal procedure, white-collar crime, business defence and representation in criminal proceedings.
He has more than 25 years of legal experience, combining work in the prosecution service, private practice and service in the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
Before joining ARIO, Vladyslav spent 17 years in the prosecution service, progressing from investigator at a district prosecutor’s office to First Deputy Regional Prosecutor and Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine. He holds the class rank of Senior Counsellor of Justice.
As a member and head of investigative teams, Vladyslav took part in particularly complex and high-profile criminal investigations, including cases related to the murders of journalists Georgiy Gongadze and Ihor Aleksandrov.
In private practice, he represents clients in complex criminal proceedings, including matters involving heightened public, reputational and business sensitivity. His background enables him to assess criminal proceedings not only from the defence perspective, but also with a clear understanding of prosecutorial logic, investigative strategy and procedural risk.
From the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Vladyslav joined the Defence Forces of Ukraine. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and later in military units of the National Guard of Ukraine. During his military service, he progressed from soldier and sergeant to officer.
Experience
Vladyslav has practised law since 1998. Prior to joining ARIO Law Firm, he spent 17 years in the prosecution service, holding investigative and senior leadership roles, including First Deputy Regional Prosecutor and Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department at the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
In private practice, he handles complex criminal proceedings and white-collar crime matters.
Education
Vladyslav holds a law degree from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
